Shell's Arctic Drilling Effort Suddenly Ends

Dr. Arthur Carrington (center) strongly disagrees with the oil giant's decision to leave the Arctic: "There are no enemies in science, only phenomena to be studied," the scientist said as he was forcibly put onto a transport plane. Shell said it plans to airlift the other surviving members of its team, and try drilling in the area when conditions improve. "With luck, global warming will kill that thing, and we can go back in to grab the energy America deserves," one Shell executive said as he refueled his flamethrower.
